1. Guard#3. Temporal@ 2finger abive ears. Back: Occipital line 2. Guard#4. Blend the top to the sides. Go 2fingers above 'blending line' up and out. 3.Guard #2. Taper above hairline. Go only 1 inch abive hair line both side(Temporals) and back. 4. No guard. Clean up hair line a.k.a. trim. Becareful. Use Gard #1 if not confident or no enough mirrors 5. Top portion ( Crown)- three imaginary lines. Center and two lateral. Even cut. 3.

Best is to just buzz the hair using #1 or #2 😁

May I ask please. Do you think it would work if I used the clippers just for my temple area. I have long hair and the temple hair is scrappy and driving me nuts. I thought about keeping hair long about 2 or 3 fingers above the ear and behind the ear. Then graduating from the temple around that area. Have you done that yourself. I’m not jumping in but taking time to scope it out. It would be like a Mohawk around the temple area but not real short…maybe number three. Thankyou great video 👍🏽

I want to learn how to cut my own hair due to the increasing prices as well as the freedom to do it in the comfort of my own home. I let my hair grow for like 2 years during the pandemic so it grew very long and I was shocked at the price when I went to the barber. I've decided it's time to learn myself. I'm about to do it soon, so i'm a bit nervous and i'm hoping I don't mess up too bad.

If you want to cut your own hair, start with the longest setting, you rather cut as little as possible at first, rather than too much, better work your way down, I see a lot of people make the mistake of starting too short on their cutter.
